All-new story inspires kids ages four and up to practice yoga while learning about Death Valley, California.
Boston, MA -- (ReleaseWire) -- 04/06/2017 -- Kids Yoga Stories and author Giselle Shardlow are thrilled to announce the official release of their newest yoga book for kids, EMILY'S DAY IN THE DESERT. Children ages four and over will learn how to practice yoga poses inspired by desert animals as they read about Emily's day in California's Death Valley with her family.
Kids Yoga Stories offers yoga books and yoga cards for children ages three through eight, all designed to get children moving, learning, and having fun. Giselle Shardlow is the founder of Kids Yoga Stories. She holds a Masters in International Education and has eight years of expertise teaching kindergarten through fifth grade in Guatemala, Australia, Canada, and the U.S.A.
"My goal is to write yoga stories that make reading fun and active," said Shardlow.
In EMILY'S DAY IN THE DESERT, children get to glide like a hawk, dart like a fox, and slither like a snake. Also included is a list of yoga poses for kids. A parent-teacher guide also comes with the book.
"EMILY'S DAY IN THE DESERT is wonderfully written and illustrated. This easy-to-follow yoga book allows children to learn about the desert with a family, while looking for specific desert items. The yoga poses are fun and placed exactly at the right moments in the book to keep children engaged and moving," said one recent customer, who gave the book a 5-star review.
