Derby, KS -- (ReleaseWire) -- 11/02/2015 -- Wes Smith, the creator of Monkey Poker™ "Texas Hold 'em Gone Bananas", a new card game designed for ages 13 and up, has now launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the production, distribution and marketing of this game.
Monkey Poker™ is a family-friend card game based on Texas Hold 'Em rules and was the initial game created for Three Monkeys Games. According to developer Wes Smith, "The inspiration came from putting down the video games and playing Texas Hold 'Em with my own three monkeys (kids) and the realization that poker doesn't have to be confined to smoky bar rooms and casinos. It can also be enjoyed at the kitchen table, or anywhere a family can gather."
Money Poker™ is interactive fun for two or more players of any skill level. The Go Bananas Cards™ also include random events and player changes inspired by everyday kids' games. Some of the cards offer the opportunity to collect extra prizes in the form of "Chimps" by solving puzzles or completing other activities. The 2.0 version includes new card ranks, new face cards and even an app that allows users to play from home and send results to an online profile as well as play against people around the world.
As seen at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1914997143/monkey-pokertm-20-texas-hold-em-gone-bananas, the Kickstarter campaign offers pledge levels from $1 to $10,000, with rewards from Monkey Poker™ game sets to game credits on the app. For more information about specific rewards associated with various pledge levels, see the Kickstarter page.
